String Buzz Behind Fretted Note

Here is a quick pro tip for bass guitarists: If you are getting string buzz behind the fretted note, it probably means that the string nut is too low. It might have been filed a bit too much.

Quick fix: Put a small piece of paper under the string at the point it meets the nut – so it raises a bit and stops buzzing.
