SAP Cloud Application Library Connectivity

OK guys, here are some quick tips that might save you an hour or two.

If you rent a server on http://cal.sap.com and can’t connect with Eclipse, it is because the port 3390 is disabled by default. All you need to do is enable that port and voila!

Here is a screenshot of a configuration where the port is enabled:

If you can’t connect your Fiori applications;

  • Ensure that the temporary domain you see on your browser is included in your hosts file with the External Linux address of your CAL server.
  • Ensure that the Linux ports 50000 and 50001 are enabled on CAL as shown below.

Obviously, all of those port should be allowed on your firewall / router / etc as well.
